It's all a bit Wyrd if you ask me...

Here are a few photo's of a recent commission for some 32mm 'Heroic' scale metal fantasy figures from Wyrd. I really enjoyed these and I hope you do to.

ECW Kings Lifeguard unit

Here are a few quick photos of the most recent unit in our ongoing ECW Project. This is, as the title suggests, the Kings Lifeguard unit. Mostly Metal Bicorne figures with a few Warlord plastic officers.

Will post again when the unit is finished and the bases are textured!

French Napoleonic Limbers

Welcome to part two of the Napoleonic project we're working on. These are all Foundry figures. 2 French limber teams pulling 12 pdr's. These are again painted to our Museum standard. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy painting these Foundry figures. A Good figure makes the whole experience all the more enjoyable.

The Green on the gun is as realistic as possible. The description of the colour of paint used was yellow ochre plus a very small amount of black. So I recreated this using vallejo colours and it turned out to be a fantastic highlight colour which matches rather well with a lot of images I've seen in various books.

I hope you like them. Feel free to comment below.

Music to my ears

Here's a one off post for those of you who listen to music as you paint.

I listen to music on www.we7.com You can listen to whole albums on there for free and buy downloads too. They have a whole catalogue of fantastic bands and a radio feature to listen to as well as lot of new albums you can listen to the day they are released in a try before you buy kind of style. you just listen to a short advert before each song and away you go. you can sign up and save up points that add up to one advert free day.

I just thought I'd share this with you.
