Here is a quick peak at an upcoming ECW Regiment. The Essex. The figures are from Empress miniatures and are well sculpted, slender and very clean.
I feel the Orange tones need a little more work. We're going for variations from dark to light and I might throw in a more vivid orange red. The trousers will be a mix of orange, browns, greys and general civilian colours. As for the Buff straps, shoes and bags etc i will be mainly using two tones. One Dark and one light.
Look out for more pics in January!

VICTRIX MIDDLE GUARD
These are from the fantastic new box set by Victrix. VX0016 ‘NAPOLEON’S MIDDLE IMPERIAL GUARD’
They can be used for lots of French figures as described on the victrix website
'This figure set has a lot of versatility. We designed the heads to have the thistle shaped plume rather than just the pom-pom. This gives the figures a lot more flexibility to make other units of Napoleon’s Elite infantry on campaign. All you do is remove the top of the tuft to make the Middle Guard, Turin Velites and some units of Line Chasseurs. By leaving the tuft on you can make line Grenadiers, Line Voltigeurs, Tirailleurs, Chasseurs and Carabiniers'
